About Kilihub

Kilihub was built by former climbers for future ones. Planning a Kilimanjaro climb means working through route choices, real costs and dozens of operators, in a market where almost every source of advice is also selling you something. This is the resource we wished we had before our own summits.

What we do

We publish independent guides to the routes, the costs and the companies, an operator directory that compares real operators side by side, and planning tools that do the arithmetic for you. Every fact on this site carries a source and a date. Where a number comes from an operator's own marketing, we label it a claim.

How we stay independent

We represent climbers, not operators. Kilihub sells no climbs, takes no commission and carries no sponsored placements, so nothing we write is shaped by who pays. In the directory, placement is not for sale and the ranking code structurally cannot see who would be paying us. The full standards are public in our methodology.

What we care about

Getting you the facts, and treating the mountain's workforce as part of the story. A Kilimanjaro climb is carried, cooked and guided by a crew of roughly eleven people for every two climbers, and the difference between a fair operator and a cheap one is mostly paid by them. That is why porter welfare, KPAP status and honest tipping run through everything we publish.

We would rather correct a page than defend it. If a price has changed, a review count has moved or a fact is wrong, tell us and we will fix it with a fresh source and a new date.
