Monkey Adventures review 2026
Moshi · founded 2017 · 6 routes
Monkey Adventures publishes an 8-day Lemosho price of $2,150 including park fees, which leaves about $130 per climber per day to run the climb after the $1,109 TANAPA fees. It does not publish a porter day wage. Kilihub has not verified these figures.
Our aggregate: the review-count-weighted mean of every public rating we could find, read on 2026-08-30. Kilihub does not collect its own reviews yet.
We get nothing if you book with them. No commission, no sponsored spots, no paid placement. Every fact on this page carries a source and a date.

Reviews across platforms
We show every public rating we could find rather than the flattering one. Counts matter more than scores: almost every operator on this mountain sits between 4.5 and 5.0.

Trustpilot is the only platform here that shows whether a profile is claimed, whether the company pays for review-invitation tools, and warnings about the company itself, so we weight it highest. This profile was claimed in undefined and still has no reviews. Unclaimed, zero reviews; Trustpilot lists the company location as United States

Where your money goes
Park fees are identical for every operator on the mountain. Subtract them and what is left is what this company has to run your climb: guides, porters, food, tents, transport and margin. We compute this from the published TANAPA tariff, so it is comparable across every operator here.
Prices read from the operator's own pages on 2026-08-30. Fees computed for a non-East African adult on the stated itinerary, VAT included. A low figure is a question to ask them, not a finding against them. How park fees work

Worth knowing
- Booking Terms state that bookings are made with 'licensed franchisees in Tanzania, Kenya or Uganda, trading as Monkey Adventures'; no registered company name or number is published for any of these entities, and the terms are governed by Tanzanian law while the contact numbers are US and UK lines.
- Large review base: TripAdvisor 4.9 from 1,710 reviews with a Travelers' Choice 2026 badge, but the listing covers safaris in three countries as well as Kilimanjaro climbs, so the Kilimanjaro-specific share is unknown. Trustpilot profile is unclaimed with zero reviews.
- Not on the KPAP/IMEC partner list (checked 2026-08-30) and the site does not mention KPAP or porter wages; a per-crew-member tipping guide and crew-size table (e.g. 23 crew for 6 climbers) are published.
- Prices are at the low end of the market (Machame 6-day group from $1,658, Lemosho 8-day group from $2,150) and cover the mountain only; hotels, airport transfers, private toilet and equipment rental are priced add-ons, and a 5% surcharge applies to card payments.
- The about page calls the company 'award winning' without naming any award; SafariBookings lists the founding year as 2017 and a 'Kilimanjaro Association of Tour Operators' membership that could not be independently verified.
