Worth knowing
- US-registered company (OneSeed Expeditions, LLC, Denver) whose terms say it acts 'only as an agent for any transportation carrier, hotel, ground operator, or other suppliers'; the site says 'we hire experienced guides from local communities' but does not name a Tanzanian ground operator or claim its own crew, so who runs the mountain operation is not published.
- On the IMEC/KPAP Partner for Responsible Travel list (as 'One Seed Expeditions | USA') and says it allows KPAP to monitor all its climbs, but no porter wage figure is published and its tipping charts are images, so the suggested per-crew amounts and crew counts cannot be read as text.
- Microfinance claim is specific and partly documented: '10 percent of all revenue' to nonprofit microfinance partners since 2011, US$908,334.93 and 5,045+ loans to date across six countries, Tanzanian partner named as Tujijenge Afrika; plus '3.5% of revenue' profit-sharing among local guides.
